Should I get my long and puffy hair cut?

I have pretty long hair and it is puffy, I have tried sunsilk and that did not work and I do not want to straighten long hair NE more. is there any other solutions or should I cut it short then curl it under. a girl I know has it like that, and her hair is thick, and it looks awesome

NOO!!! Long hair is great! Once you cut it, you will regret it! And if yo have poofy hair whe it's long, it will be more poofy when it's short because there is noting to weigh it down.

OMG yes you should. i use to have long thick puffy hair. but then i got it cut to about my shoulders with layers and thined out. and its so much easy to straighten and to curl and i just love it! i really think you should:)

If you get it cut it might just be short and puffy which could be worse. See if the hair dresser can use special scissors to thin it out a bit.

Before getting it cut, I would go and see a stylist and ask them to show you how best to style it. My hair is really thick and I never blow dry it and it stays "down". Sometimes I braid it after a shower, let it dry in braids (pin them up on my head) and the next day let them loose........big is in though, you should be able to make it work for you. Spend a little $ and get a stylist to help you!

Well it sounds to me you want maintenance free hair and shorter hair can mean more maintenance. I'd have to see you to know for sure but it seems like you have heavy one length hair. I bet you have some wave in there which is still a very hot look for long hair-- to bring out your natural texture you need some long layers added to your existing length along with some customized texture to go with your face shape and best features. Then for styling all you need is to layer leave in conditioner followed by anti-frizz. I seriously recommend that you save up (if need be) and go to a reputable salon like Tony and Guy or and Aveda Salon. They are trained very well and you can request an added fifteen minute booking to include a training session so you can be more confident about maintaining your look. Also you need Salon products they are bit more up front but the cost evens out in the end because you need less product and they are much kinder on the hair.I've been a master stylist in several salons and feel confident that you should feel happier with your hair if you follow my advice. Best of luck!
