Why is it that female can have long hair but males have to have short hair in the workplace?

i wonder why this is all they do is tie there hair back,so why can't they say this to a male work with long hair but no the look for a guy is short hair i want to see it that a guy can do the same and have long hair as females do.

If you look like Mel Gibson did when HE had long hair then I vote YES - keep the long hair back in a pony tail, however if you look like Charles Mansion - actually a haircut will NOT help you!! Good luck with this one!!

double standards, plus women are generally cleaner than men. They are less likely to spread bugs.
